Clydesdales!
So that’s a good sign. At least fans got to see the horses rumble around the warning track.
And here come the parade of cars carrying players. The festivities are under way and Rico Washington must be really, really excited.
Lou Brock came out and took a bow. And look, there’s Ozzie Smith, not looking at all grumpy to be on the field on Tony La Russa’s watch. Red Schoendienst took a bow, too, along with Bob Gibson. Stan Musial is in the park, but unhappy to make it down to the field.
