Illinois “D” Makes Tigers Miserable
Bruce Weber’s teams grind. And this year is certainly no exception.
The Illini keeps working the offense at one end and hounding the Tigers at the other end, swarming DeMarre Carroll and Leo Lyons and containing the Missouri dribble drives.
And by now, there aren’t many Tigers shooting with confidence. So even though the Tigers started getting a few more stops and turnovers, they struggled to convert those breaks.
Down 55-34, they were shooting 13-for-41 from the floor and 0-for-12 from three-point range. Yikes!
