Missouri-Oklahoma Third Quarter: Tigers Finally Score Another TD

The Tigers finally countered a blitz correctly, getting a third-down conversion with a 19-yard catch-and-run play by Jared Perry. But on fourth-and-5 near midfield, Gary Pinkel elected to punt the ball back to the Sooners.

So the beating continued.

Will the Sooners become the first team to score 60 or more points in five consecutive games?

And will Sam Bradford pile up enough stats to clinch the Heisman Trophy?

The Sooners marched through the Tigers to set up another Jimmy Stevens field goal, this time from 30 yards out. He elevated the ball this time and Oklahoma pushed its lead to 41-7.

Chase Daniel still had some time to put up numbers and salvage some respect, so he got busy. Completions to Chase Coffman, Jared Perry, Derrick Washington and Jeremy Maclin got the Tigers to the other side of the field.

A nice fourth-down conversion pass to Tommy Saunders kept the drive alive. A slant pass to Danario Alexander got the Tigers into the red zone for the first time in the game.

Another slant pass to Saunders beat an OU blitz and gave the Tigers their second TD of the game. So they cut the Oklahoma lead all the way down to 41-14.

Go crazy folks, go crazy.

More proof that they are only paper tigers. This team couldn’t even compete with good football teams, Oklahoma, Texas. Over hyped.
