‘Boston Legal,’ ‘Eli Stone’ renewed?

The upfronts, at which the broadcast networks announce their fall schedules, are this week. Only NBC went today, and since its schedule announcement had already been made weeks ago, there wasn’t much new news. But over the weekend and into Monday, details about renewals, cancellations and pickups leaked out. These haven’t been 100 percent accurate in the past, but it looks pretty certain that ABC will order at least 13 episodes of “Boston Legal” for next season and will also pick up viewer fave “Eli Stone.”

I’m also hearing that “The Unit” — another viewer fave, particularly locally — will make the cut for fall on CBS.

Cancellations being reported include “New Amsterdam” (aww) and “Back to You” (a surprise to me) on Fox and “Aliens in America” (double-awww) on the CW.
