‘Dancing With the Stars’: blast from the past
Gail Pennington

I had NO intention of watching “Dancing With the Stars” celebrate itself for two hours, but gosh, that was fun. It was so fast-paced and the dancing was so good (why didn’t some of those people win, for heaven’s sake?) that I ended up sitting through the whole thing. (I will admit I wasn’t paying enough attention in the beginning. I thought for almost half an hour that they’d brought all the past performers back to dance again. I was thinking, gosh, have they kept practicing all this time? Do they still remember the dances? Then I realized it was all on tape. The judges’ different clothes should have been a big clue.) As the second hour wound down, though, the festivities must have become a little less fun for the current stars worrying about being eliminated. How cool to announce Marissa first; nobody does excitement the way she does. Too bad for Mario, but at this point it was probably either this week or next week.
