Nope; not surprised. Okay, I was wrong in my prediction of an Archie boot. Gail, you seem to have a lot of Cook haters in your readership. I am not. It’s a popularity contest at this point anyway. The best singer doesn’t always win, it’s whomever gets the most votes.

No surprise w/ David v. David. How about Fantasia’s performance???!!! What a train wreck.
Looked and sounded awful. But I love Simon’s face-for once he was speechless.

Not surprised at all. I’m also happy that the two finalists have been my two favorites for quite some time. It’ll be hard to disappointed either way it goes. A comfortable finale . . . not like last year when I was sweatin’ bullets that the incredibly annoying and clearly less talented Blake might steal the crown from Jordin.

It’s been obvious since the 12 finalists were picked that the two Davids were by far the best qualified candidates. So it’s the right final two.

I couldn’t really quibble if Archuleta wins, but Cook is the more versatile and talented performer. Archie could find great success as the teen popstar idol of 12 year old girls, but Cook’s career should have “legs”.

I’m not surprised at all. But how can anyone dislike David Cook. He has been fantastic all season. Along with that thought, how about some hometown pride? Go David Cook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t stand David Cook. PLEASE… versatile? talented? america must really be losing it to let a guy like this in the FINALS. but of course, his appearance is more “sell-able” than David A. Whatever. Just confirmed what I thought all along, IDOL SUCKS. That’s a show I won’t be tuning back into.

They are both terrible. It boils down to picking the least terrible of the two. If there was any justice, this talentless season would kill Idol once and for all.

Thanks idlewatcher for reminding me about Fantasia, the love child of Grace Jones and Susan Powter. I almost spit out my soda when Ryan talked about her “successes” on dvd and Broadway.

I thought she’d never top her appalling All-Star game National Anthem appearance a few years ago but I was wrong.

Let me first say the last three people that texted are idiots because David Cook is one of the best performer’s they have ever had on American Idol. Anyways David Archellta is only still here because of the teeny boppers that cant get enough off him, come on son get some confidence.

I don’t think Archuleta is qualified enough. Going into the final 10 i still believed it should have been Cook vs. Johns. Johns and Cook are better than anyone else.

The first show I picked Michael Johns and Carly, the girl from Ireland. But I was also impressed with both the Davids. I’m not a bit surprised it has come down to the two Davids, and hopefully, almost certainly, the winner is going to be Cook. Little Archie is cute but so immature and just not ready for the big-time. David Cook is clearly the most talented of the two and even if he doesn’t win he’ll be like Daughtry and make it big on his own. Go David Cook!
