‘Idol’: Jason packs his suitcase

No surprise that Jason Castro was eliminated — and have you ever seen anybody so glad to go? He even sang “I Shot the Sheriff” again so nobody could possibly miss him. I pictured him going backstage afterward, ripping off that frowsy wig and doing the happy dance. This is heading, clearly, for the David vs. David finale that everybody has been predicting ever since David Cook broke out of the pack. Maybe they said this during the elimination show, which I FF’d through to the end (because, seriously: boring), but next week, the final three will each sing three songs –  judges’ pick, producers’ pick and their own pick.

I like David Cook… in my opinion he is idol worthy. The other David is not ready for stage work and David Cook is… He always answers and is not stage conscious.. He is the top contender here… my vote always.

Of course David cook should win…. the other gut doesn’t even belong up there… I know he’s young, but he’s acts so ridiculous when he is asked anything… I’m embarrassed for him… and he doesn’t reall y sing that welll.. talk about butchering a song… he should have NEVER done Elvis… It made me cringe..

Wow last night’s results show was terrible! Between the awkwardness of the David Cook blind date, David A’s inability to think on his feet (really David? NOTHING has challenged you on AI), and Syesha comparing her Idol journey to both the Civil Rights movement and the historical democratic primary race–I had a hard time watching last night.

I do think Jason was ready to go home. He seemed a bit high to me the last few shows… maybe that is why he messed up!

I predicted the 2 Davids from the beginning, with David A on top, he sang Love Me Tender awsome.. that is my favorite Elvis song.. He just needs a bit stronger interview presense, he is just so dang cute … although David C is not to far from the St Louis area… Congrats to all the top 10

Wow, sometimes I wonder if I’m watching the same show as everyone else!

Syesha was not comparing her AI journey to the civil rights movement and the Dem primaries. She sang “A Change is Gonna Come” and compared that song to the 2 events.

Jason was ready to go home…didn’t you see him mouth “don’t vote”?

David Cook, well, he’s okay but he isn’t Daughtry! And, as my sister says, he seems to be a little “arrogant” up on stage - almost like he expects kind words, etc.

David A. has a great voice but I’m sick of hearing him sing nothing more up tempo than “Imagine”. Wait ’til next week when they have to do judges, producer and singer’s choice of songs. Make David A. actually do something with a beat, more pop and let’s see how he handles that.
