Jimmy Fallon replaces Conan
NBC has made it official that Jimmy Fallon of “SNL” will take over “Late Night” when Conan O’Brien replaces Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” next year. (Yes, 2009 is next year!) From NBC Entertainment president Ben Silverman: “Jimmy is more than just a likeable guy and a great comedian, he is genuinely interested in what people have to say.”
The right choice? I’m dubious. Then again, I’m hardly the young male demographic the late-night shows (and especially the late-late) are going for.

O’Brien had a slow start and was near cancellation his first year. Look what happened to him. I think time will tell for sure.
