‘Men in Trees’ canceled

Multiple sources are reporting that ABC has told creator Jenny Bicks and the “Men in Trees” team that the show won’t be picked up for a third season. ABC did “Trees” no favor by moving it all around the schedule and taking it off the air repeatedly. I don’t think this quirky, low-key show would ever have been a massive hit, becauseĀ it was never going to appeal to a wide range of network-TV viewers. But maybe if ABC had ever let it run long enough to pick up momentum, it could have become a solid little success.

What now? “Men in Trees” returns May 28 (after sweeps) with its final episodes.

I thought it was a good show I enjoyed watching it and I agree if they would have given it a decent time slot I’m sure it would have made it. Maybe they should put it on TBS…

It figures….no chance a nice little show about nothing in particular would last. It’s probably being cancelled because there’s not enough violence and sex for the general public to be happy….what a shame - no wonder there’s so much violence - could one of the reasons be because that’s all we see on tv shows?

I really enjoyed this show - it was very entertaining and relaxing. But it’s going by the wayside like Joan of Arcadia and American Dreams - two other shows that were just nice shows that dealt with regular life…Seems all we have to choose from is crime dramas or reality shows…
