‘Survivor’ simpleton!

erik.jpgOh, Erik. The little ice cream scooper turned out to be just about as smart as a bowl of rum raisin. erik.jpgerik.jpgAs Parvati summed it up in the voting booth: “You’re crazy! You officially go down as the dumbest Survivor ever in the history of ‘Survivor.’ Ever.” And James, who got voted out in his season while holding two immunity idols: “I’ve lost my ring as the dumbest Survivor ever!”

Give Cirie credit. When Erik (strong, young, male) won yet another immunity, she tossed out the idea to the women that maybe they could talk him into giving it to Natalie, the only other remaining Fan of Fans vs. Favorites. Natalie worked him, saying he’d redeem his credibility in the game and, of course, they wouldn’t vote him out. Cirie worked him, and also conceived the plan to undermine his confidence at Tribal Council, telling him he’d destroyed himself with the jury by making transparent alliances with all four remainig women.

But really, who’d have thought that even someone this young, this naive — and did I mention naive? — would fall for it? “You have to take some risks sometime and hope people keep their word,” he said — this, the kid who has watched “Survivor” since he was 14. “I should have known better,” he sighed afterward. And Jeff Probst put the cherry on top: “I think that’s what you call a life lesson.”

Again, the jury’s reaction was priceless, and I’m sure many viewers were just as gleeful, because this kind of outwitting (more than outplaying, more than outlasting) is what makes “Survivor,” at its best, so much fun. The two-hour finale with the all-female final four is Sunday, followed by the reunion show. Anybody who has watched this season on TV might well give the $1 million to Cirie. I would. But I wonder if the jury might give it to Amanda, which would be OK, too.

i would rather amanda win, though if cirie wins i wont be too upset. i thought amanda shouldve won last season, but she was an idiot at the jury questioning…hopefully she’ll do better this season. but seriously, i felt kind of bad for erik…such a naive little survivor fan who has gone down as the dumbest survivor player ever.

I would have a tiny, tiny bit of understanding for Erik if it were just some random person that didn’t watch any previous survivor episode. I mean, it’d be like, “Well, he’s young and naive.”
BUT he’s suppose to be a Superfan and even won that reward challenge this episode.
DAMN what was he thinking. :|
I don’t really care all wins in the final four… :(

Holy crap. Now I’ve seen everything. I cannot believe that worked.

Boot Natalie out next (another Nat I can’t stand!) and in the final TC, Cirie can’t lose. Cirie-ously.

Wow! Eric, Eric, Eric…are you in there? Did the producers give you some monetary incentive off camera to make the game more interesting? Surely, that is the only excuse. James and Ozzy’s reactions over in the jury were priceless.
I LOVE the all women Final 4! I hope they get rid of Natalie asap, then Amanda and that Cirie and Parvarti go to the Final 2 with Cirie winning it all. They got it right bringing her back to this season. Go Cirie!!

This is just like that fool in the 2nd (or 3rd) installment of The Apprentice. He has won immunity from the previous week so couldn’t be fired when his team lost the following week. He was so confident that his “play” was strong he gave up immunity. While a strong player Trump fired him for the sole reason he gave up immunity. It was an idiotic move.

So what rule # will this fall under. Reality Show rule #27: When you have immunity, never ever give it up.
Rule #28: If others try to convince you to give it up, see rule #27.

Amanda all the way. Cirie should be the first to go. She is so lazy and has done nothing for the tribe. Thank goodness the jury would never go for that.

How can you say Cirie is lazy? She was the mastermind behind Natalie convincing Erik to give her his immunity necklace last night. She is now in prime position in the final 4. What Cirie lacks in the physical challenges she more than makes up for with her brain and they way she plots how people will be voted out.

Plus, how many enemies has she made?

I guess Erik’s parents can be proud…he is definately not a practiced liar.

Of course 4 women are going to talk amonst themselves. I know he is young, but he did go to high school with girls didn’t he?

C’mon guys, you have to admit that if the men on reality shows violate Rule #1 (never think with you 2nd brain), the women will find a way to eliminate you! Poor Erik couldn’t even use brain #1.

Women rule the world - they just let us think we know what we’re doing.

Cirie rubs me the wrong way, but she has made the Final Four in both of her seasons, so she has to be given her due for that. It certainly isn’t due to physical tools!

Amanda is my favorite which is why I fear she may be surprised in the next Tribal Council. The likeable ones tend to go about now. She could win the immunity necklace. Without the guys, that is really “up for grabs”.

Parvati may still be the winner. She has initiated some of the blind-sides, and she hasn’t alienated too many besides Ozzy. You don’t need to get every vote to win!

Natalie - no way, right? And yet, immunity wins could get her into the Final Three or Two (did they say which it will be yet?), and there almost anything could happen.

I’m a guy, and I originally thought an all-woman final would be boring, but these women have all proven themselves to be survivors. Guys, you were so stupid that I can’t hold it against the women! They have played the game the best, and they deserve to be there. It will be an excllent night of viewing!
