The CW for fall: ‘90210′ lives again
Announcing its fall schedule late Tuesday afternoon in New York, the CW confirmed that it’s picked up the next-generation take on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” efficiently titled “90210.” Jennie Garth returns as Kelly (in a recurring role), with cameos by other members of the original cast planned. But mainly, this is the story of the young folks (34 is old for a CW target viewer). Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup and Michael Steger, plus Lori Loughlin and Jessica Walter, make up the regular cast.
In other already reported news, “Reaper” was brought back from the dead with an order for 13 episodes, beginning at midseason. But poor little “Aliens in America” has indeed been deported.
New are “How To Survive the Filthy Rich” (with JoAnna Garcia of “Reba” as the live-in tutor of spoiled twin sisters) and “Stylista,” a reality series from Tyra Banks and Ken Mok (”America’s Next Top Model”)
“Gossip Girl,” “One Tree Hill,” “Smallville” and “Supernatural” will return, along with “Everybody Hates Chris,” “The Game” and “Top Model.”
Sunday nights, a notorious failure for the CW, have been turned over to an independent production company that hasn’t yet announced its schedule.
Here’s how the CW’s week looks:
MONDAY: “Gossip Girl,” “One Tree Hill.”
TUESDAY: “90210,” “Surviving the Filthy Rich.”
WEDNESDAY: “America’s Next Top Model,” “Stylista.”
THURSDAY: “Smallville,” “Supernatural.”
FRIDAY: “Everybody Hates Chris,” “The Game,” “Top Model” repeat.

When they cancel smallville I will treat the new ( UPN ) like the old one. I will turn it off and never watch this network again….. For those who say it is a new network, I offer the following ( “Everybody Hates Chris,” “The Game” and “Top Model, “90210,” “Surviving the Filthy Rich”, )These are the type of shows that they show on UPN. They had good shows in the begining on UPN and then they decided crap was better. I would point out that who ever is in charge proved that you could kill a network quickly and no one would miss it. Here is more proof, the WP was watched and they got rid of their programs and still run UPN style programs. They had some good shows like Star Trek and you see what happend to it.
