Reality TV gets real: ‘I Love Money’

money_opt1.jpgVH1 has set a July 6 debut date for “I Love Money,” which has contestants from its trashy dating shows competing for what they really want: cash. Note that VH1 proudly refers to them as “infamous.” I dispute, however, the idea that these people are “celebs.”

Here’s the release.

America’s favorite contestants from VH1’s hit series “Rock of Love,” “I Love New York” and “Flavor of Love” are set to star in the network’s newest ‘celebreality’ series, “I Love Money” premiering on Sunday, July 6 at 9 PM ET/PT. Hosted by Craig J. Jackson, the 12-episode series will pit 17 all-star contestants against one another for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize.

Infamous cast members including 12 Pack, Chance, Mr. Boston, Heat, Real, Midget Mac, The Entertainer, Whiteboy, Brandi C., Destiney, Heather, Hoopz, Megan, Nibblz, Pumkin, Rodeo and Toastee will travel to Mexico where they will participate in outrageous challenges to test their determination to get rich.  For this group of men and women competing for a chance at love is nothing compared to competing for their true heart’s desire: money.

I hope they have a spitting contest…oh, this is just to good to be true.

The best would be if the whole thing was a ruse and they don’t get any money….or even better they all share a percentage of the $250k base on how far they got.

All these class acts in one place, GOLD!
