‘The Mole” Episode 2: team? what’s a team?
Could there be like six Moles? Because almost everybody is screwing up big time, and the ones who aren’t screwing up are driving everybody else crazy. When they had to get to the lift and everybody ran in different directions, it was like a Marx Brothrs movie. Some more random thoughts:
* Jon Kelley, the not-Anderson-Cooper host, annoyed me a little less in Episode 2. On the other hand, the players annoyed me more.
* Can Bobby (”I’m sore! Wheel me in the wheelbarrow!”) really be that much of a baby, or will he turn out to have some debilitating disease? He’s awfully skinny.
* Nicole, who was so irritating last week, played it cool this week, until the last scene, when she was hilarious telling Paul (I think it was Paul) that she could kill him and leave no forensic evidence. She’s a doctor, so she could probably do it.
* Anybody make anything of the fact that Craig wore a red tie at the elimination, and Bobby had on a red checked vest right out of “Beauty and the Geek”? (I think Kristen’s top was orange.) Red is the Mole’s color, as we all know.
* Don’t a lot of the questions in the quiz the contestants take seem to be asking the same thing over and over?
* I’m sticking with Mark as my “Mole” choice. But if either of the first two people eliminated had been it, I wouldn’t have been surprised.

I think the easier question to answer right now is: “Who is not the mole. Seriously!
I did enjoy the challenges. But once more, could not get to the quiz on ABC’s site. (sigh)
I still think there are hints in the opening credits.
Right now my pick for the mole is Paul. But Bobby and Craig are on the list too. I loved Nicole’s “I’ll kill you in your sleep” comment to Paul. He’s completely obnoxious.
Gail,
I’m really trying to get into this show. It shouldn’t be this hard for me - geeze, it’s the Mole! Again, last night, I just wasn’t in to it.
Jon Kelley - I go back and forth if I really don’t like him as the host or if I just want A.C. back. Hmm, I think I don’t like him as the host.
Now I kind of understand the importance of finding the right people or characters for a reality show. You have to have the right mix of good and bad guys… people you genuinely want to root for and people you love to root against. But, the main thing is some reason to just watch what happens to them, regardless. The only character I have a strong feeling for is Bobby - and I watch just to hope something happens to him so it would force him off the show. My luck, he does have a disease as you possibly mentioned, and I’ll feel/look terrible for having these thoughts.
Bottom line, I think it’s a poor cast top to bottom. I’ll give it a few more episodes though just in case!
garricks - What do you think the issue is with the online being down? This is ABC - they do have money - and it’s not like there would be American Idol type numbers crashing a server.
If Bobby isn’t terminally ill, he has to be the biggest wimp ever to be cast on a ‘reality’ show.
I would much rather see Anderson Cooper. But that’s the least of my complaints. Bobby is possibly the most annoying person I’ve ever seen. I’m starting to HOPE he’s the Mole, just so all that complaining and wheezing is fake.
I think that Mark would be too obvious a choice for the Mole. I honestly think it’s Ali. Not only am I rooting for her since she’s from St. Louis, but she seems smart and I think she knows what she’s doing. I really want her to win.
