‘Weeds’ returns!
The new season of “Weeds” starts Monday on Showtime, and I just watched the first two episodes — surprisingly entertaining. I was getting bored with the show, which seemed to be stuck in a rut, and apparently the producers realized there was a problem, because after the big fire and evacuation, there’s a complete change of venue for Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) and her family, and the beginning of a new profession that’s just as illegal as her pot-selling empire. The first two episodes also have especially good stuff for Elizabeth Perkins as Celia. The last two episodes of last season are repeated at 8 and 8:30 Monday, with the season premiere at 9. And after that: “Secret Diary of a Call Girl,” a British import that supposed to be really good. And, of course, controversial.

What happened to the second season of Californication? It was a great hour of programming when it followed Weeds last season.
I’ve always liked Weeds. I am usually on the edge of my seat thinking “oh my gosh, she’s gonna get caught, oh my gosh…”. Then, I wonder why am I rooting for the drug dealer? But, then again the DEA guy was quite a #@*&! Also, I love Elizabeth Perkins, though her character in Weeds is hardly likeable.
What the heck happened to Conrad in season 4? I can’t do without Conrad!!! When is he coming back?
