‘America’s Got Talent’: hallelujah, Neal Boyd!
After two nights of manufactured suspense, opera-singing insurance salesman Neal E. Boyd – he grew up in Sikeston and is now a St. Louis resident — advanced to the Top 40 and the live LA shows on “America’s Got Talent.” But he doesn’t advance anywhere until after the Olympics, when the show will return with Monday and Tuesday episodes, complete with viewer voting. Neal is an adorable big teddy bear (as was the other opera singer who advanced) with a great voice and a wonderful story of achievement against the odds.
NBC doesn’t even have a picture of Neal up yet. But as luck would have it, the Southeast Missourian in Sikeston has a whole Neal Boyd page featuring everything Neal, including a forum to talk about him. Enjoy.

Neal, you are fantastic! Will defitely vote for you! You have a beautiful, rich opera voice and deserve to be up there with the likes of Pavarotti. Good luck and God Bless you!

I am ready to buy your CD’s !
I was so overwhelmed by the sincerity, voice and emotion you displayed. You were excellent. My co-worker and I watched you on America’s Got talent and we were amazed. My Co-worker wants to know if you are self taught?. If you did this on your own I pray that you will find the way to give yourself the Vocal Lessons you so richly deserve. You have our vote for winning the million dollars. God Bless you, Good luck and we will certainly be watching for your CD’S.
