emhe2_opt.jpgThe Martirez home in Shrewsbury is almost finished, just five days after the old one was demolished for an “Extreme Makeover,” and you’re invited to the reveal on Wednesday.

Here are the rules:

* Park at the old Kenrick Cine, 7505 Watson Road, and take the shuttle to the home.

* The spectator area “will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.” A 10 a.m. arrival time is mentioned.

* “At or around 11 a.m.-1 p.m.” the Martirez family — Dawn, Emmanuel, Elle and twins Evan and Alec — will arrive to see their new home. They’ve been at Disney World during the project and needed the new house because Evan and Alec have rare birth defects.

* We’ll have video of the reveal (not including the interior, which is top-secret until the episode airs) on STLtoday.com Wednesday afternoon.

I work with a company that donated some supplies to the family; we were inside the house yesterday and it’s going to be really cool.

On our visit yesterday, they were starting to clean the wood floors, a group of people from Save-A-Lot were stocking their new fridge and they were doing work on the exterior. They were even pouring new curbs in front of the house.

Can’t wait to see the whole thing in November!

Nice to see everything turned out so well. I relized all the love and effort being put out by all involved. It was really neat to see so much done in a short amout of time.Best of wishes to the Martirez family, the ones involved in the coffee house project, and everyone else.
