‘The Amazing Race’: the movie?

Don’t get me wrong; I loved the season premiere of “The Amazing Race.” As usual, I was riveted, amused and completely entertained. But some of those people look as if they came right out of central casting for a movie. The Beekeepers would be in something by Christopher Guest. The frat brothers dress (possibly self-consciously) as if they’re in a Judd Apatow flick. And although you might not find estranged spouses Tina and Ken (that’s Ken Greene, a one-time football Cardinals defensive back) in a movie, she could very well star in one of those “Real Housewives” series on Bravo.

I didn’t notice it at the time, but you’re right! I think like every other reality show they cast for diversity because it makes for better conflict. But it seems this year especially they have a strong wardrobe department influencing the racers!

Wasn’t Phil just kiwi-licious? Missed you, Phil!
I think Terrence is the next Peter from season 10. Ironic that his partner’s name is Sarah……I’m just saying.
Although I was ready to hate Starr Spangler (her mother should be horse-whipped)I liked her and her brother. Also, I like Team Mythbusters. They are my favorites to win.

Travel safe!!!!!!!

Terence is a piece of work. That poor Sarah is in for it….She said he was an adventurer? I think he just doesn’t feel like working a full time job! He certainly doesn’t seem to be having any fun…

They’ve needed a new casting agent to spice things up again. These racers seem like echos of past racers, like they’re chosen to fill a certain “type.”
