‘Dancing’ vendetta against Cloris!

Cloris and Corky cha-cha.

Cloris and Corky cha-cha.

Clearly, the “Dancing With the Stars” judges have had it with Cloris Leachman. Carrie Ann Inaba came right out and said Monday night that Toni Braxton shouldn’t have gone home last week while Cloris stayed. Because the judges’ votes count 50 percent and viewers’ votes count the other 50 percent, the judges scored Cloris’ cha-cha-cha as low as they thought they could: three 5’s. (Guest judge Michael “Lord of the Dance” Flatley went along with the scheme.) That way, it will take a huge viewer vote to keep her — but don’t count fans of spunk out. I’ve thought Cloris was an 82-year-old bright spot this season, and I found Toni Braxton remarkably stiff and personality free. But maybe it’s time she exited while she’s still kicking.

My current Top 3: Warren Sapp, who’s always so entertaining and rarely misses a step; Brooke Burke, who’s almost too good, even with a hurt foot; and that little Cody Linley, who is improving every week. But seriously — couldn’t we have gone a long, long time without that hip-hop routine? Eek!!!

Carrie Ann confirmed our discussion in the Tube Talk blog last week about how several people at DWTS are trying to get rid of Cloris. I enjoy Cloris alot, she is so entertaining and funny. We should all be so lucky to move like that at 82. She should definitely stay longer than big head Lucci (boring, yawn). Also, when can we vote out Samantha Harris?

I still predict that Brooke will win. Lance Bass was very impressive last night and I can’t help but thinking how I wished he would have been paired with Julianne.

I usually only watch the dancing night - skip the results night. Over the years I’ve been less than impressed with Carrie Ann Inaba. I’m not sure what her dancing credentials might have been in the past - I’ve never actually seen her actually do any kind of dance step. She is incapable, however, of stringing enough words together to make an entire grammatical sentence and she is rude. That has always been the case with anyone she considered less than attractive (too fat, too old, not graceful enough, etc.) It has never been more clear than in this season. She has been offensive and bad-mannered to Cloris Leachman who will be remembered long after the world can’t remember why Carrie Ann Inaba was even on television. It pains me that someone with the years of talent and the humor that Cloris Leachman has is forced to put up with the childish, belittling behavior that the judges are inflicting upon her. If they don’t want 82-year olds who aren’t capable of keeping up with 25-year olds, then the show should not invite them in the first place. If the only reason they are invited is to be humiliated by the likes of a Carrie Ann Inaba - then this is the last season of this show for me.

They should leave her alone! This show is supposed to be fun, dancing is fun! If the judges want stars who can dance then they should audition! I have never laughed so hard as I have this year at Cloris, what a wonderful sense of humor!

You have got to be kidding. I like Cloris as an actress but a dancer(no way). She needs to go. This is a dancing competionnot a comedy competion. She needs to go.

While I have never laughed harder at anything as I have watching Cloris this season (and surely the most patient man in the world, Corky) Tom is right, it’s a dance competition now and it’s time for her to go. I’m a Lance and Lacey fan but I love watching both Julianne and Derek dance with anyone they get partnered with as well.

I was yelling at my TV last night- NOOOOOO, they can’t get rid of Cloris!! I hope she does show up every week like she said. They should do a “Cloris Commentary” where she talks about the performances on the Results Show from now each week.

Rams747 - you’re right, they should have Cloris do commentary for the remainder of the show. That would be hillarious!! While I enjoyed her tremendously - it was time for her to go. I didn’t want Susan to go before her (I’m a all My Children fan from way back). However, Toni going first - oh well (she was just too stiff and boring). Love that Warren and Cody though!!!
