Jon Hamm: from ‘Mad Men’ to Gap ad
I turned the new Entertainment Weekly over and was charmed by the adorable couple in a Gap ad on the back cover even before I realized that the cute guy is Jon Hamm, not as Don Draper but as his own, slightly rough-hewn self. The Gap stylists got their hands in his hair, though, so he doesn’t look scruffy, just stylishly outdoorsy, as if caught in a mountain breeze after a day of hiking. Around his neck are the color-coordinated arms of his longtime girlfriend, actress Jennifer Westfeldt, whose blond hair is also looking breezy. The whole thing almost makes me want to rush out and buy an itchy wool sweater, or at least a purple striped scarf. In further efforts to get us into the Christmas spirit, the Gap invites us to go to visit its “Merry Mix-it” website for a mix-up of holiday songs by the likes of Jon Heder (with Janelle Monae on “Winter Wonderland”) and Rainn Wilson (with Selma Blair on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”).

Gail, no offense, but you’re obsessed. (He is pretty cute, though.)
Many of us are equally “obsessed.” The man is stunning.
Sorry, I really didn’t mean to come off snarky. Yes, the man is stunning, and who wouldn’t have a little crush on him?
