St. Louisan on NBC’s ‘Momma’s Boys’
If you took a pass on Tuesday night’s premiere of “Momma’s Boy,” the Ryan Seacrest-produced dating game, you missed a real freak show, the jaw-dropping introduction of a proudly racist “momma” who will accept for her son only a white girl with a small butt who will cook and clean and do what her mother-in-law tells her. The 32 women (girls to NBC) competing for three boys (yep, boys) have been carefully split between ones the three moms will like and ones they’ll hate after hearing little things like their criminal records.
One of the bunch is St. Louisan Callie Stilwell, who seems like such a lovely person that you have to think she was tricked into going on the show. Anybody know Callie? Here’s what she has to say about herself:
I am 25 years old and will graduate with my master’s degree this coming May. After being in school for 18 years, I am looking forward to starting a career in healthcare in the St. Louis area. Through my years in school, I have been active with volunteering, student government, sorority, and other professional organizations. I am very blessed to have had a great upbringing where family dinners were important and the value of always doing a good job was taught. Because I was adopted, I hope to help people understand that the relationships you have with people are more important than being biologically related. In my free time I love to run, play the piano, cook, play golf, and go downtown with my friends. Continual self-improvement is important to me and on my agenda is the next St. Louis Marathon.

Callie is actually from Mount Olive, Illinois. There is another contestant on the show from Edwardsville, Illinois. Her name is Julie!
I know Callie personally. I was shocked that the other contestants were as vicious and self-centered as they were. Callie is honest, beautiful (inside and out), smart and hardworking. She is in a league of her own and definitely not like the other girls. The racists comments made me physically ill. Callie - being the kind of person she is - will take this experience and learn from it and continue to move onward and upward in her life.
For those interested, according to NBC.com, ENCORE (read “repeat”) showing on Friday, Dec. 19th at 7:00 CST. Surprized you didn’t put that in your article, Gail. Followed up by Premiere of the 1st Elimination Round on Monday, Dec. 22nd at 8:00 CST. Hopfully this show will air regularly on Mondays–I didn’t like it pre-empting Law & Order: SVU!!!
Nope. Not watching. No way. And you guys know what a reality show freak I am. Not touching this with a 20-foot pole.
That is all.
