After seeing the first four hours of the new season of “24,” I’m not sure if I’m sold. (You’ve seen the first two, with three and four tonight.) Then again, I loved the first four hours of Season 6, and it turned out to be lousy. Wondering what others thought.

I am sure, however, that I like Anne Wersching as FBI agent Renee Walker (and a potential romantic interest for Jack Bauer, it looks like) — and not because I just got back from having coffee with her in Clayton. She had a screening of the season premiere last night at the Tivoli for 400 family members and friends (grew up in the CWE and graduated from Crossroads HS in ‘95), did the morning show on Channel 2 and was on her way to the airport. She’s one of those St. Louis actors who is so grounded and low-key and charming that you have to root for her.
