Again this year, I’m at a loss to understand the TV nominations for the so-called People’s Choice Awards (8 tonight on CBS). Not because they don’t agree with the critics, but because they don’t agree with the ratings either. The nominations (produced by polling) just seem to be random lists of three shows in each category. I’ve pasted the list below, but to see the even more baffling movie nominations, visit the People’s Choice Awards website.

I agree that I can’t figure where they get the actual nominees. However, I have voted each year for the past 4-5.

I usually skip all the movie categories as they are baffling and “none of the above” is never a voting option.

I agree with you, Gail. Kath and Kim? Really??? The only category’s nominations I agree with is TV Drama Diva, and what kind of category is that? I won’t have any problem skipping the awards ceremony this year.

Glad to see Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Supernatural, and Fringe, and Heroes represented. I hope TSCC wins, so they’ll keep it around awhile longer. We’ve been worried about the switch to Fridays.

Welcome Back Gail!

I did not understand the movies that were selected- didn’t they just come out last week.

I switched over to Baba WaWa and watched her special about Patrick Swayze. Very insightful and sad to us long-time Swayze fans.
