‘24′: The ‘Evil Tony’ conundrum
Tony, evil?
Tony, Tony, Tony. How to figure you out? First you were dead, then alive. First you were good, then evil. Then good.
But for two episodes now, Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), Jack Bauer’s best pal on “24,” has seemed the epitome of evil. This week, he came thisclose to murdering Jack, who’s dying anyway. But this is “24,” so one has to wonder:
Did Good Tony simply turn into embittered, Evil Tony in the aftermath of wife Michelle’s death, and his own?
While dead, was Good Tony brainwashed to become evil Tony?
Evil Tony, we learned earlier this season, was actually Good Tony, acting evil for a purpose. Is there another good-for-evil double twist coming?
Or, perchance, is Evil Tony not Our Tony at all, but his Evil Twin?
I’m going with No. 4, the Evil Twin theory. How about you?
24 has jumped the shark.
i dooooooooooon’t get it. actually i’m a little upset. why was tony fighting AGAINST hodges in the first place, if he is working with the people hodges works for?!?! it doesn’t make a lick of sense. now the writers are just turning things upside down for the sake of “plot twists” well i don’t think this works, or even makes any sense.
The people tony worked for didnt want jonas to use the weapons in the way he wanted.
Evil Twin? I like it. Either way, I just can’t wait until next Monday.
An Evil Twin?? He would not have the same set of skills that Tony has from military and government agent training, and to write that “both” of them did, not THAT is ridiculous.
I believe he is trying to get to the ultimate source, and would never kill innocent Americans. Government agents, yes, innocent people, no.
I think Tony is like the Terminator…. he was rebuilt into a robot they can manipulate… LOL !!!!
so you are telling me (mike) that the people who tony works for had him work with ex-CTU agents B-square and Chloe-meister to develop the CPU chip or whatever, sell it to dubungo, then recruit jack, steal it back from those british guys/dubungo’s people? you are telling me all of that was part of this master plan? i don’t buy it.
I just want to know what happened to the President’s husband? and Chloe? and chloe’s husband?
