Adam FTW.

it’s gonna be a close one, but I think Kris is gonna pull a big dark horse upset.

The final song that they sang last night proved who has the best vocals. Adam made the song actually appealing while Kris made the same song sound boring and flat. If I were going to buy tickets to either Adam’s or Kris’s concert, without a doubt I would by tickets to Adam’s concert.

Midwest Momma - I agree that the last song last night proved who has the best vocals. It pretty much sealed the deal - Adam was AWFUL! I think it really hurt him. It didn’t helf that the song itself was awful and definately not his style. It also doesn’t help Adam that he has become predictable, we can expect screaming in every song.

Hope this poll is a good indication of who the real winner is tonight. I prefer my performers to move me, not scream at me. I tried voting for the whole two hours using all three phone numbers for Kris and only got through about a dozen times. I took that as a good sign.

Okay, so this final comes down to taste: What kind of music styles do you like and dislike.

Adam fans are typically “rock” fans or folks who enjoy a little edge or theatrical flair to their music performances.

Kris fans fall into the “easy listening”, “adult contemporary”, “folk”, and “no resemblance to rock whatsoever” categories.

Either guy could win tonight, and I would not express shock or surprise at either outcome.

Judging from my own personal contacts and the posts found on this site and other sites, most people voting for Kris are voting AGAINST Adam because they do not like his style. I have found very few people who express a genuine JOY at listening to Kris Allen. Instead, they mostly just repeatedly say that they would rather listen to Kris than Adam (reiterating my earlier point that they are not really overly enthused about Kris, but are more likely to just flat-out dislike Adam).

Personally, I think Adam is by FAR the more dynamic performer. That final song was the obvious clincher. Vocally, they were both okay (neither of them really hit that last one out of the park), but in terms of performance energy it was no contest. Adam’s performance made Kris’ look weak and timid. Kris just comes off as flat, dull, and boring. If I were attend a Kris Allen concert, I would be falling asleep within 20 minutes.

I will never get the appeal for Adam Lambert. Perhaps if he didn’t scream like a demon possessed banshee on acid, it wouldn’t be so bad.

Go to any decent bar in any city in America and you can hear a band that sounds like or better than Kris. Adam has rare talent. If they can get him with a decent band - watch out…I think Kris will win, but Adam will have a much more successful career. Kris will be a one and done CD person in my opinion and I am a musician. There are too many people on the market just like him.
