7 shows that should be on your radar this week (July 20-26)
Yes, I am having a nice vacation; thanks. But I’ve popped back in to give you an abbreviated version of this week’s “7 shows” — and honestly, it’s such a thin week, some of these probably won’t show up on anybody’s radar. Here you go anyway:
‘The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All’
7 p.m. Monday on ABC
Wes won’t be there, so they other guys can really trash him.
‘Dating in the Dark’
9 p.m. Monday on ABC
Is beauty only skin deep? Does what’s inside really count most? A new “social experiment” tests theories with lights-out dating.
***’Great American Road Trip’***
7 p.m. Monday on NBC
Those aren’t stars; they’re asterisks, intended only to call attention to the fact that NBC has moved this show to Mondays.
‘Hell’s Kitchen’
7 p.m. Tuesday on Fox
Chef Gordon Ramsay yells and swears at his hapless cooks, few of whom are ever qualified to run a restaurant, the ultimate prize in this competition. And yet I find the series surprisingly entertaining. The season premiere runs two hours.
‘Ruby & the Rockits’
7:30 p.m. Tuesday on ABC Family
David Cassidy plays a has-been heartthrob who seeks help from his brother and former bandmate (played by David’s brother Patrick), in a family-friendly comedy with Alexa Vega.
‘Being Human’
8 p.m. Saturday on BBC America
A ghost, a werewolf and a vampire share a flat in Britain. No, really. It’s a new series.
‘The Storm’
8 p.m. Sunday on NBC
James Van Der Beek tries to save his boss (Treat Williams) uses a weather-altering device to stop a big storm and succeeds only in feeding it. Concludes next Sunday.
