Star behavior from Jon Hamm? Say it isn’t so!
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Jon Hamm isn’t just that nice guy from St. Louis anymore. Since “Mad Men” hit big, Hamm is much in demand, so much so that he now has a personal publicist to keep the press away. As I know from personal experience, she’s effective — very effective. Tuesday night, as the Television Critics Association opened summer press tour, AMC threw a cocktail party to let the critics mingle with the stars of “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad.” I was sorry to miss it (I arrive Thursday), but not so much now that I’ve read this account by Maria Elena Fernandez of the Los Angeles Times.

Well, that publicist would have never blocked YOU from our fellow St. Louisan!
Let’s give Mr. Hamm a break. Imagine what it must be like to go from nobody to one of the hottest stars in the country almost overnight. I had the priviledge of seeing him at the COCA Cabana event this past May and I was amazed at what people will do to get close to him. He had hundreds of people standing in line at any given moment and he wasnt even able to eat or use the restroom from what I witnessed that evening. I understand that this was a press event, but that doesnt mean he “wanted” to be there, sometimes people are just having a bad day, ya know? Im sure dealing with the press gets old real quick in that industry. Lets ease up and continue to support this local (and very talented) actor.
Jon lived in my neighbor’s basement for over a year (best friend of their son), and there couldn’t be a nicer kid. He deserves everything he’s getting now.
Once again, more waste of time and space, a writer whining about the pratfalls of her job. If I were a celeb, I’d hired one too so whiny reporters would just be gone.
