Of all the new fall shows, I’m most interested to know whether you sampled ABC’s “FlashForward” Thursday night, and if so, what you thought. This is an intriguing and very challenging show, one that “Lost” fans in particular really want to like, hoping that it can carry them through to the return of “Lost’ in February and maybe even stand in after “Lost” ends its run next spring. But with more than a dozen major characters, a pivotal time shift and heavily serialized storytelling, “FlashForward” won’t be easy to grab onto. What did you think? Are you hooked yet?

I thought hard about what to watch, and opted for FlashForward while recording Survivor.

I was intrigued by FlashForward. I’ll be back next week. :)

Didn’t catch it, but have a friend with a DVR who says I “need to” see it. Very intrigued by the concept, despite them claiming there’s not a sci-fi element to it.

I’m hooked, and not just because I missed the first 10 minutes (aaargh!). The writing pulled the pieces together nicely given the scope of the pilot episode, and the characters are well-drawn, so unless someone is looking for more than good entertainment from it, it should be a fun ride!

My wife in I were hooked in the first 5 minutes. Brilliant writing, likable characters, etc. We’re definitely in for the long haul.

Oh, yeah, there’s definitely a “Lost” connection here. The “Oceanic” billboard in the distance and the future appearance of Dominic Monaghan.

Loved it!

There were for sure a lot of Lost connections- the billboards, Penny, Charlie, did you catch Sawyer’s baby momma in the previews?, Sonya Walger having kids named Charlie/Charley, big ensemble cast, big mythology, big budget opening sequence (I mean, how similar was their opening to Jack waking up in the jungle, running to the beach and seeing th crash!). AND, this show is going to make you think about big things- like fate.

I think the producers will have fun linking the two with little easter eggs here and there, but overall Flashforward will develop into its own show. And it will be amazing.

I had it on (and recording to the DVR) while multitasking and at some point realized that if I was going to keep up, I needed to give “FlashForward” my undivided attention. It was very intriguing, so there’s no doubt I will get back to it.

ABC is repeating the pilot tonight at 7:00, but according to some of the schedules, and KDNL’s website, our local affiliate will be showing something else so they can rake in a few advertising dollars. If the networks are going to allow this kind of thing, then viewers should be allowed to get network programming from somewhere else. Why isn’t anyone up there fighting for viewer’s rights when these laws are passed? But I digress . . .

Watched it, liked it, will return next week.

Liked: characters, story development, lots of action and lots of info in a short amount of time. Loved how they shot right to the hook - not everyone “blacked out” - all in the first episode!!

Disliked: the transparent Jack Shepherd-ing of the FBI guy (what the heck is his name? Can’t even remember it, I just kept calling him “Jack lite”) and the Oceanic billboard, etc. I do NOT want “LOST-ish”.

Concerned: about trying to connect with all of these various characters while still holding onto plotlines in Heroes and, eventually, LOST again. Might be too much, and might end up like “Fringe” (which is truly too stupid to have kept up with, anyway) and just be one of those “tried it but it wasn’t worth it” things. But gotta at least try it.
