Ken Burns’ 12.5-hour miniseries, wrapping up its run on PBS tonight, arrives Tuesday on DVD and Blu-ray, where its scenic photography, capturing some of the most beautiful places on Earth, should really pop. On the down side, leisurely pacing makes the miniseries a snore at times. But did I mention the scenery is gorgeous? List $99.99; via Amazon.com, $69.99.

I was suffering from insomnia this week. Luckily Ken Burns’ documentary was airing and did the trick, putting me right out.
“Murphy’s Law” is an excellent British series starting James Nesbitt which aired on BBC America.
Usually I love most PBS programming of this type,but I was bored to death with this series and had to stop watching!
