I am doing the happy dance as I type.

This is my theory: They knew that L&O:CI can get intense at times. Poeple probably couldn’t take that intensity AND do their taxes. Thus, they pushed the premier until after the tax deadline.

Just a theory…

Gail I”m a fan of the L&O franchise, but don’t know why they’re even bothering with this one. It seemed like it died a few years ago no?

I don’t think CI died….I think it has been abandoned at times by the producers. This show’s characters are incredibly deep. Especially D’Onofrio, who still chews up scenery like Clark Gable. For him alone, this show should go on forever.

I’m doing the happy dance as well. I’m getting pretty tired of watching the same reruns over and over but I never get sick of watching my sweetie Vincent D’Onofrio. What do you guys think? Should he find a romantic interest in the new season? Not that he would have time for a relationship but kind of throw it in every now and then that he is seeing someone and then maybe next season have it develope into something more permanent. If you watch SVU you notice that every now and then Stabler’s home life comes up and it really kind of personalizes his character. The same for Eames character. You know she has a big family but they are almost never spoken of or seen. Comments?

I should have read the other comments before making mine. I don’t think the series died i just think they went a little overboard with the Crazy Goren idea. The Goren & Eames team seemed to fall from grace with the head honchos of 1PP and the way the writers made Goren look so pitiful towards the end of season 7 that I’m not sure he’ll recover and get back in the game so to speak. I hope that the writers come up with something good for him and surprise the viewers.

Anyhow, because I dont get cable yet, I’m out of luck? never returns on saturday on nbc? returns lately from season 6; I know I have no life; thanks for reminding me. But may go to Independence Center Dancing tomorrow; that should be nice. and one, two, three, cha cha cha, back step, rock step, etal. So if I get dish, does that have USA? I ge so confused?!
and btw, is Conan the same as Triumph the Comic Insult dog? if not, why tied to his program in article today?

I for one LOVE this show L&O is getting pretting dull- but SVU & CI…
D’Onofrio is the most unsung actor- his intensity is very powerful & his “relationship” with Nicole Wallace was one of the most interesting story lines. I can’t believe they killed her off-what a mistake- with Goren’s brother killed & mother & father dead he would have been sooo vulnerable for Nicole’s “Bobby”
