‘Millionaire’ looking for Midwesterners
Auditions for both versions of “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire,” the syndicated version with Meredith Vieira and the special “10th Anniversary Edition” with Regis Philbin, to air in August, are set for June 29 in Kansas City. That’s a Monday. Better drive all night, because the line starts forming at 6 a.m. Here are more details in an abridged version of the announcement.
Throughout the last decade, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” has given away over $132 million to hot seat contestants from all over the country. Now it’s YOUR turn to win some Millionaire money! The hit game show is looking for Midwesterners who want to try their luck in the Millionaire hot seat, for the opportunity to win $1 million! Those who audition may be considered at producer’s sole discretion, for either the syndicated version of the show, hosted by Meredith Vieira, or the 10th Anniversary Edition of Millionaire, which will air on ABC this August and will be hosted by Regis Philbin.
Contestant auditions will be held in Kansas City on Monday, June 29, from 7–11 a.m. at Ameristar Casino Kansas City (3200 N. Ameristar Dr., Kansas City, Mo. 64161). The line will form outside the Pavilion on the west end of the property. No one will be admitted in line before 6 am.
