VH1 orders ‘Pepa’ and ‘Chilli’ — yum!
Season 7 of “Celebrity Fit Club” and Season 2 of “Sober House With Dr. Drew” are planned by VH1, along with new series debuting next year. Included: separate shows following Sandra “Pepa” Denton of Salt n Pepa, ”Chilli” from TLC and “the Entertainer” from “I Love NY” and “I Love Money.”
Already announced were “The Price of Beauty,” with Jessica Simpson; “Fantasia,” with “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino trying to get her career back on track; ”The OCD Project,” with obsessive-compulsive peopel living together and getting treatment; and “The Aspen Project,” about “the highs and lows of living and dating in one of the wealthiest communities in the world. “
Who’d watch this, er, stuff? Boasts the cable network:
“VH1 is on a roll with its debut of new and returning series year-to-date. The music and pop culture network’s total primetime viewership was up 12% during the second quarter of 2009 compared to the same period the year before. And, the network has launched nine new and returning series averaging at least 1 million total viewers in their premiere episodes. In fact, VH1 has launched five new series year-to-date averaging at least 1 million total viewers — more than any other cable network this year.”

Me, Gail. I’ll watch all this stuff. I’m most excited about the show with “The Entertainer.” And yes, I’m hanging my head in shame.
I didn’t think Fantasia was trying to get her career back, I thought she was working on her next cd, and what are all the pretty pictures for taken by Derek? Does anyone know?
