Would you drink Tru (not true) Blood?

It’s blood red. It’s fizzy. It’s Tru Blood, the fictional drink from HBO’s “True Blood,” soon to appear on store shelves in the real world. Flavored with blood oranges, the beverage “boasts a crisp, slightly tart and lightly sweet tang, and the bottle has been crafted to replicate the appearance of the vampiric sustenance found on the series – blood type, logo and all,” publicists say.

Fans got to sample Tru Blood last weekend at Comic-Con in San Diego, where “True Blood” creator Alan Ball announced the drink — created after demand by fans, we’re told.

If you’re ready to bite, wait till September, or preorder from HBO.

Well, since I’ve tried most of the holiday flavor Jones colas, I’d give this a shot. :)

After last season, I think I’d rather have some “V”. (Or maybe just party at Maryanne’s house. Yowser!)
