Abdul update: Nigel wants her for ‘Dance’

Paula Abdul will meet with Nigel Lithgow, executive producer and judge on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” this weekend in Las Vegas to talk about a possible role on the show, Lithgow told TV critics at a “SYTYCD” session today. (It was the first question, of course.) Lithgow, former EP of “American Idol,” said he’d been trying to get Abdul on “Dance” since the first season — but added that he wasn’t sure she was really leaving “Idol” and wouldn’t be until the seasonn started without her.
Some people think Abdul knows nothing about singing, but she certainly does know about dancing.
I wonder if that show will pay her ransom. I’m glad Idol didn’t cave to her ridiculous demands. She’s an idiot who bit the hand that fed her.
