Lifetime joins the A&E family
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Viewers likely won’t notice, but the Lifetime networks will become part of A&E under a deal announced Thursday. Lifetime had been owned by ABC/Disney and Hearst; the two partners also own A&E along with NBC Universal. After the deal closes, A&E Television Networks will encompass A&E, the History Channel, History International, Biography, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, Lifetime Real Women and more. Want more details? Here they are, from Broadcasting & Cable.

If viewers won’t notice, then why bother writing about it? This is more suited for the business section.
Well…i have been a lifetime fan for a looooong time until recently. I miss watching the true stories that use to come on during the week night at 9pm. and use to show new movies every monday at 9pm. i just dont understand why lifetime has more shows than anything now and dont show the movies until the weekend. I have other friends that also USE to watch lifetime. Well, i wanted to post my comment cause it has really frustrated me. I guess i will just have to find another channel to get into i guess. thanks
