‘Reno 911!’ canceled, star says on Twitter

RIP, “Reno 911!” Comedy Central hasn’t made it official, but Thomas Lennon, who played Lt. Jim Dangle, wrote Thursday on Twitter:
“Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today. Won’t be wearing the shorts again.”
Dangle was known for his extra-short uniform shorts in the police spoof, which made its debut in 2003. Cancellation would apparently mean the July season finale was the series finale.
Perhaps Lt. Dangle can get hired by the Village People?!
They jumped the shark when their feature film came out and tanked.
