Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Hawthorne” (or, as TNT likes to call it, “HawthoRNe”) will return for Season 2 in 2010, the network announced Monday. “Hawthorne” is averaging 3.8 million viewers per episode and is the No. 1 rated basic cable drama with women 25-54 and adults 25-54, TNT said.

“Hawthorne” ”is scoring tremendous growth over programming in the same (8 p.m. Central) Tuesday time slot over last year, with adults 25-54 up 90 percent, viewers up 69 percent and households up 63 percent,” TNT said. “In addition to its success as part of TNT’s Tuesday night lineup, the show performs well among DVR users, averaging a 38 percent lift” over the next seven days with adults 25-54.
