Get ready to say goodbye to “Saving Grace,” which will wrap up with a nine-episode run next summer on TNT. The current season ends Tuesday.

TNT said:

“Since Saving Grace began in 2007, the series has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare. The show’s continued success is thanks to the amazing talents of Holly Hunter and Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team. They have taken us on a unique journey, and we look forward to seeing where it will ultimately lead.”

The six-episode mini-season planned for winter will now be pushed to summer, with three additional episode giving creators time to create a finale. According to the Hollywood Reporter, cost was the main factor in TNT’s decision not to pick up the drama about a tough, troubled police detective and her guardian angel.

Darn it! I really like this show. Gail, any chance of another network picking it up? FX, maybe?

I watch “The Closer” but not this. Lame premise. Good actress though, maybe they’ll do Broadcast News: the series.

I certainly hope the show gets picked up by another channel. It has been a favorite since it came on, already lost another favorite this year(life on mars).

I can not believe they are cancelling this show. It is one of my favorite shows! The entire cast does a great job in keeping this as real as possible and managing to have fun as well! I hope and pray another network picks up this huge asset! If there is anything we can do please let us know.

Why would they kill Saving Grace. I have watched this from day one. Everyone at my job watches. Keep Grace! Please!

Didn’t think it would last. It’s for adults.

This was the best show on television so naturally it will be cancelled. We need more fake reality shows that treat the viewers like morons.
