Two more new shows have entered the safety zone — as in, it’s safe to get attached. “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “The Good Wife” both got full-season pickups from CBS on Wednesday. “NCIS: LA” is the top-rated new series of the season, averaging 17.47 million viewers, CBS says. “The Good Wife” is No. 2 with 13.7 million. They’re the second and third new fall shows to get full-season orders, after Fox’s “Glee.”

“Good Wife” has me hooked, so I’m very glad it will have a full season. I’m also happy it’s getting good reviews because I think it’s well written and very well acted. So, goody.

We needed another NCIS spin-off like we need another hole in our head. When the American viewing public lets network programmers get with with unoriginal programming ideas like this, they will keep coming. I’m making a stand and refusing to watch any spin-off shows.
