KMOV cuts ‘CSI: Miami’ short, will replay missing bit

Because of “technical difficulties,” KMOV cut off the end of “CSI: Miami” Monday. The station says it’s working with CBS to retrieve the missing bit and air it Tuesday night; the exact time, when known, will be posted on the KMOV website and also announced during the Tuesday newscasts. (Now, that’s a way to boost your news numbers.)

The need to replay the whole thing, not just the 10 minutes. Constantly Bad Signal (Signal, Station, etc.) shouldn’t be their model.

So this was a KMOV difficulty and not a network feed difficulty? Are KMOV budget cuts now affecting their antiquated equipment and their intern technicians?

Why don’t they post on the KMOV website a link to the cbs.com website so their viewers can watch the whole episode in its entirety? Oh, KMOV doesn’t want their viewers to know that all these shows are posted and watchable on the cbs.com website?

This is why I don’t bother watching KMOV programming as it is aired. Why bother when CBS programming is available online and we can bypass KMOV completely?

The quality of the local affiliates has really declined in the last couple of years! KSDK routinely cuts off portions of Saturday Night Live. During South Park, KPLR cuts off the audio when they have to rush to a commercial, ensuring that one misses a portion of the program at almost every commercial break. It seems as if crack heads are running the control rooms at the local stations. It’s common to have programming interrupted when making the transition from commercials to the scheduled program (dead air, logo screens, etc). And all the stations are selling primetime airplay to infomercials. KSDK is the worst at this. Thank goodness for the internet, because the local affiliates are awful!
