TNT picks up ‘Southland’

The canceled NBC cop drama will rise again Jan. 12 on TNT. The news isn’t as good as it might be; the cable network made a deal with John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. only to air the seven episodes seen on NBC last season plus the six produced for Season 2 before NBC pulled the plug. But if those 13 are well-received, TNT could order more. “Southland” will air in chronological order at 9 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning with the seven repeats before the six new episodes.

I like when smart decisions are made for a change.

TNT is where it belongs. Thank goodness there are channels like TNT and FX(Damages, Rescue Me, It’s Always Sunny…)which take chances.

Excellent news. Now we can even watch Southland without those obnoxious bleeps too….

If only we could get TNT to resurrect “Life” — that would have been a better show to pick up!

Agreed. I was very upset to hear this show got canceled. Hopefully it does better on TNT and they keep it going. If not that, then Hulu for sure. I hope they take Hulu showings into account when judging how well a show is doing
