Crystal ball shows ‘Medium’ returning soon

Wake up, Alison, and get back to work
With “My Own Worst Enemy” canceled, the 9 p.m. Monday slot on NBC will soon be available. That just happens to be the original time slot for “Medium” and the place it’s always done best. Every day, at least one person asks me when “Medium” will be back, and the plan (from way back last spring) was that it would air Sunday nights beginning in January, after the football season. But with Monday now open, that seems to make more sense. The current schedule (as always, subject to change) calls for “Enemy” to conclude its run with the Dec. 8 episode. NBC has ordered 19 episodes of “Medium,” starring Patricia Arquette as psychic Alison DuBois.
