‘Amazing Race’ available online — finally
Sunday night’s season premiere of “The Amazing Race” was one of the best episodes ever of this classic competition — am I right, cheese fans? The goal of the new season is more action, more local color and less poring over airline schedules, and that works for me. There are several pairs who are easy to root for this season (love the stuntmen brothers, the mom and deaf son, and father-and-son writers Mel and Mike White), plus several who will potentially be fun to hate.
In addition to a 70-story (that’s right, 70-story) bungee jump, the season premiere offered one of the most hilarious challenges in “Amazing Race” history, involving a slippery hill and 50-pound wheels of cheese. You have to see it to believe it, and here’s the good news: If you missed the premiere, ”The Amazing Race” is finally (finally!) available online. You’ll find it streamed at CBS.com. ”Race” fans can also enjoy a new blog by host Phil “The Eyebrow” Keoghan at EW.com, which also offers very entertaining weekly recaps by Josh Wolk.

I thought it was a good first episode too. I wonder why they just didn’t let the cheese roll down first and then go stack them after. I guess it’s possible the cheese could have rolled past where they needed to go.
Funny, the teams you mentioned you liked, I called out would not have a chance to win…and I didn’t care for them either. Don’t know why. Maybe that will change. I think the cheerleaders are a strong team and the ones to beat.
