‘Amazing Race’ host Phil Keoghan biking across country

Sunday in Los Angeles, “Amazing Race” host Phil Keoghan kicked off (pedaled off?) a cross-country bike ride from Los Angeles to New York. First day: 126 miles in 11.5 hours — yikes. I’ve put aside my annoyance that the route deliberately appears to avoid Missouri by veering north, when a more direct path would have taken Phil and his biker gang directly through St. Louis, and am cheering my pal Phil on.
