‘Bachelor’ Jason should be ashamed

If “The Bachelor” still had a drop of credibility (and arguably it didn’t), Monday night’s “historic night” (yeah, historically sleazy) wiped it out. I don’t dispute that a guy can change his mind; millions of men have probably proposed, regretted it and gone back to their old girlfriends. But when Jason Mesnick allowed “The Bachelor” to turn his breakup with Melissa into a ratings-grabbing TV stunt, he disgraced himself and made me even more embarrassed than usual to be watching. To quote the Soap Goddess (via Twitter): “Jason just became the guy old ladies hit with their pocketbook on the streets.” To then turn around, with Melissa’s butt print still on the seat, and tell Molly he really loved her all the time is shameless. She should run. She must run. Clearly she won’t run. Eek!!!

I too am so so let down by this man. He should have told her in person at home, not on tv. I thought he was a nice guy. NOT He is the typical man. What a jerk. I don’t think I will ever watch the bachelor again. Melissa I was pulling for you the whole time. You deserve sooooo much better. I hope you find someone who deserves you. Jason I hope you rot away lonely and cold. And Ty has a good mom to take care of him and teach him morals!

I watched it the same way you did, and I didn’t get into it this time, except for the past 2 weeks… That’s the only time it really mattered to me. Tonight just was the icing on the cake for me to really know that all guys are the same… Even the nicest guys! And, I’ve been in a situation so similar to this, but we weren’t on TV, THANK GOD for that! I was Melissa in my situation! Anyhow, what goes around really does come around and karma will take it’s toll on you. I was happy though that Melissa called him a bastard.

Oh, this is gonna be topic #1 on “The View” tomorrow! Imagine - they just interviewed this guy a week or so ago and he was, oh, so coy.

I’ll bet Elisabeth cried just like McCain had lost the election again!

No wonder his first wife kicked his as- to the curb. Nice role model for your son Ty - how many women can you actually date and get engaged to in the past year. He’s so worried about women meeting his son - i think his son is more emotionally ready to get married than the father! He acts like a 6 year old that can’t make up his mind - “chocolate, no vanilla, no chocolate” and then cries like a baby when he doesn’t get his way. Fake sincerity, crocodile tears and spinless to boot - what a catch!

Gail,
You said it better than I could. It was the whole production of it that makes us hate Jason now.

I was such a huge fan of Jason. I could not believe what he did last night to Melissa. He turned into such a different person in my eyes as soon as I got the drift of what was happening and I was sick by it. He should be ashamed of himself. Him saying that he wants no regrets is so ironic because what aired last night will probably be his biggest one in the long run. May Melissa find true happiness in real reality. Shame on Jason!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know the entire thing was scripted. The producers knew going into the season that they need to excite things even more. Of course Jason didn’t have to do the break up on TV, but it makes a great story. Maybe if we look at it a different way. Jason wanted to find the right girl for him. He played the game, but in the end realized that the game is unfair and that a few weeks to decide if the gal is the one is isn’t enough time and he made the wrong decision. He’s human. Now the producers on the otherhand, don’t have a heart. If they staged the entire thing, and Melissa was totally in on it, we can’t really get mad at Jason or anyone else besides the writers.

Watching the show last night did it in for me. You would think they had this planned the whole time. I felt sorry for Jason last season when Deanna picked Jesse over him. I thought this would be a true love story to watch, but Jason is disgraceful and doesn’t deserve either of those women.
He seems so wishy washy, and if Molly knows what is good for her, she will run, (not walk) away.

Melissa you are to good for him.

Producers of this show, if this was a “planned” show all along, shame on you! Shame on you for allowing that break up to be on national TV. I would have kicked his butt!

Sigmund:

Perhaps Jason wants to kill Melissa and sleep with her father?
