Hardee’s places 14-year-old boy in charge of advertising

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: Hardee’s advertisements are completely ridiculous. This latest campaign, for some terrible product called “biscuit holes” (available for a limited time, thankfully), proves it.

Seven more after the jump!

Brilliant commercial by Sprint references Twitter

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

From Twitter’s blog:

The folks at Sprint have a new nationwide television ad running and they’ve included Twitter along with other services people use and depend on such as mobile phones, email, texting, and Google which is really cool for us. Even more fun is that they took the little blue bird that my long time collaborator on fun design and illustration projects Phil and I drew and made it into a 3D animation. Love it!

Not enough junk in the trunk?

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Ladies, are you looking to capture the stares of guys?

Then you need Viglutes, a fake, butt-shaped device that will add that extra curve to your profile.

Take the guesswork out of goatee grooming!

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

“Your goatee is much more than just facial hair. Your goatee helps fashion your identity.”

We usually just opt for a simple (lazy) 5 o’clock shadow look. But we admit it can be tricky when we try to sculpt our facial hair into something a little more impressive.

GoateeSaver to the rescue!

Sorta seems like a device from the “Saw” movies, yes?

Vince from ShamWow strikes again

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Remember Vince, that annoying, headset-wearing pitchman from the ShamWow infomercial? He’s back — this time in a double-entendre-packed spot for something called the Slap Chop.

Feast your eyes on this mess.

Zappos gets a piece of the shoe-throwing action

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Online shoe retailer Zappos.com is cashing in on the Iraqi shoe-throwing scandal with this ad.

The audio quality is pretty poor, and this guy is no professional actor, but it’s a funny idea.

Finally, a solution for those pesky car seatbelts

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

What’s worse than an uncomfortable seatbelt strap that’s so tight you can barely breathe? This:

Perhaps even worse is the product’s name and the fact that the company expects people to pay money for them.
