When I was a kid, I always wondered how Scrooge McDuck managed to dive into his money pit and swim around in the opening titles of “Duck Tales.”

Well, I guess that was just Disney’s way of shielding youngsters from the harsh reality that you cannot do either of those things.

This video highlights a number of similarities in some animated Disney films. A little poking around on the Interwebs revealed that reusing animation and characters was a common tactic for keeping costs down, especially during an animator strike.

You know that scene in “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” where the kids wave their arms around in front of Charlie Brown’s sad little sapling, and it magically becomes a fabulous Christmas tree?

Well, just imagine the possibilities for all that arm waving …
