Steve Parker’s post today in the Editors’ Desk blog reignited a heated debate over whether it’s cool to refer to St. Louis as “the Lou.” Personally, we’re OK with it. Lots of people aren’t, though.
So now’s your chance to weigh in on a completely unscientific poll.

We love CBS’ Bob Schieffer, but he’s no Tom Brokaw when it comes to moderating. Somebody needed to keep those guys on track. I tried, but I don’t think they could hear me shouting from my living room.

Last week, in time for the VP debate, we linked to a couple of Biden and Palin bingo cards.
Today, a very smart friend linked me to a new site she put together that has bingo cards for Obama, McCain and the pundits — who are wont to overuse buzzwords and jargon just as much as the candidates. Also, you can reshuffle the words in the squares so, if you’re playing with friends, everyone doesn’t have identical cards.
