Ah, the 2008 presidential election — it seems like only yesterday. And what a ride it was. People were excited about politics — and “Saturday Night Live” — for the first time in a long time.
Let us take a look back at some of the more memorable satirical moments from the campaign, just for old times’ sake.
Here it is — the project we originally planned to bring you a couple of weeks ago.
P-D photographer John L. White took the presidential candidates on a tour of the city and created a pretty sweet stop-motion account of the experience.
In case you missed it, here’s last night’s presidential debate, in its entirety.
We love CBS’ Bob Schieffer, but he’s no Tom Brokaw when it comes to moderating. Somebody needed to keep those guys on track. I tried, but I don’t think they could hear me shouting from my living room.
Last week, in time for the VP debate, we linked to a couple of Biden and Palin bingo cards.
Today, a very smart friend linked me to a new site she put together that has bingo cards for Obama, McCain and the pundits — who are wont to overuse buzzwords and jargon just as much as the candidates. Also, you can reshuffle the words in the squares so, if you’re playing with friends, everyone doesn’t have identical cards.
Ever wondered what the mood is like for a political campaign one day before the Big Day? This film provides a glimpse.
(On a lighter note, why do people think that anyone in glasses can be a Sarah Palin lookalike? I’m wearing glasses today, but you probably wouldn’t confuse me for her.)
