One of our favorite TV shows as a kid was “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.” And we remember it was a really big deal when Pee-Wee got a primetime Christmas special in 1986.
There were all sorts of special guests: Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah, Annette Funicello, Frankie Avalon, Grace Jones, k.d. lang, Dinah Shore, Little Richard, Cher, the Del Rubio Triplets, Magic Johnson, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Joan Rivers and Charo. And let’s not forget the other actors who were “Playhouse” regulars: S. Epatha Merkerson, Laurence Fischburne and Phil Hartman.
Obama Girl. Oprah’s endorsement. “Saturday Night Live.” Katie Couric’s “gotcha” comeback.
They’re all moments that helped define the 2008 presidential election.

It’s appropriate that I stumbled across this clip today. Yesterday I declared my new iPhone one of my favorite things.
I can only imagine that’s what it sounds like at a Hannah Montana concert.
