OK. I didn’t intend the pun when I wrote the headline. But once it was there, I make no apologies for it.

The author was inspired to post them pictures because of the snowstorm that we’re getting today.

UPDATE: Moments after I posted this item, I got an e-mail from Les G. Heidemann, who wrote: “I’ve received these same images the past several years all claiming to be from a different country. Just yesterday I received an email with these same pictures claimed to have been taken from a small town in Switzerland.”

Indeed, a quick check on Snopes.com shows that these are images from Switzerland. Cool, nonetheless. Thanks, Les!
